Truth…

It’s a funny thing.
What’s true for you may not be for me.
It’s a bit less funny when we try to defend truth,
Isn’t it?
We tend to take our truth so personally.

Isn’t it odd that truth can be so subjective?
Have you ever experienced something with others only to find out that they interpreted the event in a completely different way than you?
Who’s right?
Who’s wrong?

Why is truth so difficult to ascertain?
Are there different types of truth?
Maybe there are two types of truths,
Absolute and relative?

Absolute truth?
We all love to profess our truth as absolute.
We’re looking for that,
Aren’t we?
But what is absolute truth?
Is it something that can be professed?

How about relative truth?
There’s something worth pondering.

I know,
We all like that a little less.
Truth with an asterisk.
This isn’t something we seem to be looking for.
But maybe we should.
Maybe a change in perception is what we need?
Could relative truth be that answer we don’t know we need?
